Big Ears: Providing Australia with Warehouse Supplies

Overloaded Vehicles

Overloaded Vehicles

Great compilation showing overloaded vehicles from around the world.

In Australia we can sometimes take our safety, and the safety of others, for granted. We are protected by laws and legislation that are enforced, where third world countries cant afford economically to have these safety rules that we have as it would push up costs. (like it has in this country).

In Australia we have, road and traffic authorities, weighbridges for heavy vehicles and a switched on police force for light and heavy vehicles, as our protection. We also have massive fines as a deterrent.

Should we be buying products from third world countries? Are we supporting this lack of safety by doing this? The argument is that, if we buy from third world countries it will help their economy and one day they too will have good safety regulations but, how many people have to die before this happens?
